Wi-Fi defines itself as Wireless fidelity. Wi-Fi is a range of wireless network connected to the internet. The coverage of one or more hotspots (interconnected access points) can commonly comprise an area. It is installed in many personal computers, laptops, smartphones, mp3 players and printers which provide the users to have an access to the internet.

It is a wireless networking technology which uses radio waves to supply wireless high speed network and internet connections. It is owned by an organization named Wi-Fi Alliance.

It works anywhere in the world. It allows the operation of LANs (local area network) without physical wires for the devices of the users. The sender and receiver only use radio frequency technology. (more…)

The Use Of A Router

A router is another computer networking device. Its basic use is it interconnects two or more computer networks. It also forwards data packets along networks.

Because of different physical types of network, it can have many interface connections. However routers can analyze the data being sent over a network, change how it is packaged and send it to another network or over a different type of network.

It uses headers and forwarding tables to help in determining the best path for forwarding the packets. It also uses ICMP protocols to communicate with each other and configure the best route between any two hosts. (more…)
